Bringing my point home.

A few days ago I blogged about my obsession with lemons.

Apparently I have a big of a reaction after eating them, now that I am pregnant. Just thought I would do a little show and tell.

Lemonhead.

I have always loved lemons. As a child I used to take half a lemon and Ramen noodles(uncooked)sprinkled with the seasoning and eat it for lunch. Weird. I know. However, there was a group of us cool kids doing it! ;O)

Apparently the past few weeks I have digressed to a child. I have been eating entire lemons sliced up with a dash of salt. It is a snack usually a few times a week. It started when we would go out to eat & I would ask for extra lemons for my water. So of course I had to buy a bag of lemons and continue this routine at home.

About half way through I normally take a little break on eating them and think, I I am almost done with them and want to save some for later...If I don't do this however the oddest thing happens though...Apart of my cheek and ear get really red!! I get really hot, clammy, and flustered! It's like eating spicy foods! It is so weird I tell ya!!

18 Weeks!

Wow I cannot believe baby is only 2 weeks away from being half baked ;O)

Your baby's ears are now facing forward and are completely formed so she can actually hear you talking now. You don't need to abandon your potty mouth just yet, but you might want to start thinking about it! Other highlights this week:

This week is also the beginning of ossification. And while that sounds like some long and involved paperwork you'll have to fill out, it's really a fancy medical term for the hardening of your baby's miniature bones. And that's a good thing.

Your baby's nerves are making more and more complex connections. Her sense of smell, taste, sight and hearing are all developing. A substance called myelin, which makes nerve connections travel faster, is now coating your baby's nerves.

Your baby now weighs between 5 and 7 ounces and is about 5½ inches long!

Options oh options...

We have too many options it seems like ;O)
I have my heart set on this little girls bedding

For a boy
I love this

Nick really likes this:

Which we may or may not get the comforter.

Anywhooo my aunt Anna has asked if we would like either her son or daughter's potter barn bedding collections. Of course we would love to keep them in the family and possibly hand them down someday!

Here is Lauren's bedding

Here is Hunter's bedding

You see my great aunt gave me a quilt that I want to display on the queen size bed that we will keep in that room as well as possibly hang a quilt that my mom had made with a very old topper. The one my great aunt gave us would be perfect for either of the girl or boy bedding it is white w/ greenish bluish diamonds. The one my mom gave me has a ton of very bright colors and goes with neither. But does not go with the bedding for a girl that Anna would hand down.

Free really cute bedding that will be handed down from the family & hopefully passed on again...or cute new bedding with no meaning behind it.

What are your thoughts bloggies?!

This chickie is set!

I failed to mention about 2 weeks ago I got an email from a friend of mine who I used to work with. He daughter is 4 and she was born in September and we are around the same size...get where I am going?! She asked if I wanted to meet up one day and she could pass all her maternity clothes along. How could I pass that up?!

Of course I have been doing well wearing my pre-pregnany clothes and hoping to wear a lot of them through the summer. But when I came home with 2 tubs worth of goodies I was ecstatic! I don't know who was happier Nick or me!! Of course there are a few key pieces I still need like some jean capris, all the ones she had were khaki & black, which is great but that doesn't always work.

I have been a slacker since I brought them all home and went through them. There was only a like 3 or 4 items I was like nope, won't wear that, or that's got a stain. So I had them all on the coffee table all organized until Nick had some friends over and threw them all in the master bedroom floor. GRRRR MEN! So, needless to say things needed to be resorted, washed, dried, folded/hung, and put away. I spent the majority of yesterday doing this!

Until I had such an abundance I had all my maternity clothes hanging on the bottom rack in one side of my closet & all my summer tops on the top rack. This system didn't leave much room for all the maternity bottoms to sit on the bottom shelf. This is where I always have kept 3 piles of pants. Sooo I decided to go ahead and move all my summer tops that I would be able to wear during pregnancy to the bottom with all my maternity tops. This frees up space to move all my pre-pregnancy jeans & capris to the far right of the shelf (notice the giant pile of jeans!) as well as cotton maternity tops (in the middle) and my maternity bottoms (on the left). Now lets see how long I can keep that system going since I am wearing a mix of pre-preg & & maternity clothes ;O)

Here is 2/3 a drawer filled with both maternity and long & lean tanks. YUP that's right that only leaves 1/3 of the drawer qwith plain old cami's that I won;t be able to wear much longer!

And last but not least I sorted all my dresses. Some of these I will be able to wear the entire pregnancy & others I may hve to add some bloomers haha because they are on the shorter side already ;O)

Needless to say, yesterday was sort of hectic. You should have seen our room. There were clothes scattered everywhere as I tried things on and threw into piles!!

I am so very thankful that I will have plenty to wear this summer especially since I have so many fun places to go! I still need to find some shower outfits as well as a dress for a friends wedding! And of course if I find any cute things at yard sales you bet they will be purchased!!!
