Featured on MTV's Cribs!!

We are so thankful to Nick's parents for purchasing baby girl's cri8b!! When we were visiting VA last weekend we were able to bring it home! Of course the very next day after we got home we (more like Nick) got to work putting it together!!!

Later that night I caught this shot ;O)

We are about 80% done!! Mostly just finishing touches from here on out!!!

Rip Off? I think not!

It was so good to have the day with my hubs!! I missed him so much while in CA!! We wanted to spend the day together..I am pretty sure Nick didn't have a day of
Yard sales, Target, Bass Pro, and Babies R Us, and nursery work in mind!

We ran across a nice bouncer for $10 at a y.s. and finished picking up some odds and ends for his hike. I dragged him along to BRU to pick out gifts for a friend who is expecting as well as his sister, both are having their showers within the next week. We decided to try out PF Chang's for lunch (I know we are late on the bandwagon) neither of us were impressed! Target, as always was good to us! We were able to get our dresser as well as curtain rods and really get started on the nursery!!! When Nick opened the dresser box and saw all the pieces he said we just paid how much for a bunch of wood chips? Then coughed ripoff-It was too funny!! I do believe he was eating those words after the dresser was all put together. It really is a nice dresser and looks great!!

Things are really coming along in Briggsley's nursery!!
Room Painted
Glider Sanded and Stained (still need to lacquer)
Queen bed complete (minus new sheets)
Curtains Hung
Dresser Built
Light painted
Organization started

Of course I will post some pics of the dresser...the room is still not ready for the big reveal! ;O)

This evening we vegged out with pizza and Leap Year. It was a pretty cute movie..I love me a good rom-com!

I am parched...you think I would have been reading this to you aloud! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Happy 6 months to me! ;O)

Work in progress

I have started fixin' up the glider that I scored at a yard sale! First things first was to get to sanding. I have yet to finish the whole thing. Just the top part and seat.

I decided to take a break when I looked down and saw this mess!!

I will probably finish it up and get it stained by Tuesday. I want to have it all ready for when I come back from CA so that I can see the finished product with the slipcovers my mom is making!

I had to make some quick patterns and take some measurements. So I used newspaper and a sharpie ;o)

Nick and I headed to JoAnns this morning with our 50% coupon in hand to pick up some fabric for the slipcovers. I really wanted white chenille and he wanted this stuff called soft and fluffy. I won of course ;O)

I cannot wait to finish this little baby up and see it in all it's cost us less than $30 glory!!!!

Nursery Revisited.

Of course we are back to the nursery subject now that we know the sex ;O) The reason why is because this bedding is in CA and I will need to make a decision in the next 2 weeks before I go out there...so yes, we are revisiting this subject.

Anyone have any decorating ideas to go along with the bedding options we have?? We love the Teal and Chenille bedding and have it all pictured in our head...as well as all those dollar signs. We are having a harder time picturing the Lamb & Ivy Jasmine set (green, purple, pink) since it is busier, like I feel like I am more limited if we go with that one as far as decorating. The print is flowers and butterflies which aren't really our style so I don't want to really decorate with those. So any ideas ladies?

There will be dark cherry/brownish/black crib, dresser, organizer block and rocker/glider. As well as a queen size spare bed. Sooooo....

Thinking light pink walls or light teal. Accents of darker pinks and greens. White bubble valance. We love this bedding put pretty pricey.

We are thinking along the same color scheme and like this as well. Not dust ruffle though ;O(

And this is the hand me down from my aunt. No freaking idea! Maybe butter cream walls?

Options oh options...

We have too many options it seems like ;O)
I have my heart set on this little girls bedding

For a boy
I love this

Nick really likes this:

Which we may or may not get the comforter.

Anywhooo my aunt Anna has asked if we would like either her son or daughter's potter barn bedding collections. Of course we would love to keep them in the family and possibly hand them down someday!

Here is Lauren's bedding

Here is Hunter's bedding

You see my great aunt gave me a quilt that I want to display on the queen size bed that we will keep in that room as well as possibly hang a quilt that my mom had made with a very old topper. The one my great aunt gave us would be perfect for either of the girl or boy bedding it is white w/ greenish bluish diamonds. The one my mom gave me has a ton of very bright colors and goes with neither. But does not go with the bedding for a girl that Anna would hand down.

Free really cute bedding that will be handed down from the family & hopefully passed on again...or cute new bedding with no meaning behind it.

What are your thoughts bloggies?!
